WPIAL Girls’ Volleyball Championship Brackets Announced

Pittsburgh, Pa. – The Western Pennsylvania Interscholastic Athletic League (WPIAL) announced its Girls’ Volleyball brackets on Friday afternoon, with 72 teams qualifying across the four classifications.

Each classification’s championship game is scheduled to be played at the UPMC Events Center on the campus of Robert Morris University on Nov. 6. The top four teams in 3A will advance to the PIAA Championship bracket, whereas the top three teams in 1A and 2A move onto state competition. Only the top two teams in 4A advance into the PIAA Championship bracket.

4A GIRLS’ VOLLEYBALL

Start Date: Tuesday, October 26
Championship Date: Saturday, November 6 at 7:30 PM – UPMC Events Center
Top Four Seeds: #1 North Allegheny (13-1, 11-1), #2 Shaler (14-2, 11-1), #3 Oakland Catholic (13-2, 12-1), #4 Moon (13-1, 12-0)
2020 Final: North Allegheny 3, Shaler 1

3A GIRLS’ VOLLEYBALL 

Start Date: Monday, October 25
Championship Date: Saturday, November 6 at 5:30 PM – UPMC Events Center
Top Four Seeds: #1 Freeport (12-1, 11-1), #2 Thomas Jefferson (15-1, 12-0), #3 Hampton (14-2, 11-1), #4 South Fayette (12-1, 12-0)
2020 Final: Franklin Regional 3, Montour 2

2A GIRLS’ VOLLEYBALL 

Start Date: Monday, October 25
Championship Date: Saturday, November 6 at 3:30 PM – UPMC Events Center
Top Four Seeds: #1 North Catholic (14-0, 12-0), #2 Avonworth (13-2, 10-2), #3 Laurel (14-2, 13-1), #4 Neshannock (13-2, 12-2)
