WPIAL to Host Scholarship Fund Golf Outing on June 20

Pittsburgh, Pa. – The Western Pennsylvania Interscholastic Athletic League (WPIAL) is set to host a golf outing at Cedarbrook Golf Course on Monday, June 20, 2022 to benefit the WPIAL Scholarship Fund.

The event, held at Cedarbrook Golf Course in Belle Vernon, will begin with an 11:00 a.m. shotgun start. Lunch is provided to golfers at the turn, and a buffet dinner is provided following completion. There will be silent auction items available to bid on.

Price per golfer is $125, and that includes 18 holes, the cart, lunch, buffet dinner, and refreshments on the golf course.

The WPIAL Scholarship fund was created to award scholarships annually to student-athletes from schools and school districts comprising Pennsylvania Interscholastic Athletic Association (PIAA) District VII. Since 1992, the league has given $678,000 in scholarships to its WPIAL/James Collins Scholar/Athlete award recipients, and will celebrate its 31st consecutive year of the award program in 2022.
