Bulger Three-Peats WPIAL 2A Girls’ Golf Individual Final

Greensburg, Pa. – Eva Bulger, a junior from Quaker Valley, posted an even-par 72 to win her third consecutive Pennsylvania Interscholastic Athletic League (WPIAL) 2A Girls’ Golf Individual Final on Thursday. Held at the par-72 Hannastown Golf Club, nine of the 18 competitors qualified for the Pennsylvania Interscholastic Athletic Association (PIAA) 2A Individual Championships held on Oct. 18 at Heritage Hills Golf Resort.

Bulger recorded three birdies and nine pars, and finished her round with an eagle on the par-five 18th hole to outpace the field by four strokes. She won her previous titles by two strokes in 2020 with a four-over 77, and by a single tally in 2019 with a 10-over 82.
Greensburg Central Catholic’s Meghan Zambruno claimed second place with a four-over 76. She collected four birdies and eight pars, scoring three of her birdies on the back nine. Geibel Catholic’s Claire Konieczny fired an 82 (+10) to earn the bronze medal.
Zambruno was one of four Greensburg Central Catholic golfers to qualify for the PIAA 2A Individual Championships, joining teammates Izzy Aigner, Olivia Kana, and Ella Zambruno. Central Valley duo Kennady Norton and Mya Mrkonja, and Avonworth’s Ciara Anderson also finished inside the top nine.
